Co-organizers

You can hand someone else the controls for an event. Invite them by email from the Settings tab; the invite is good for seven days, and they need a Papped account to accept.

What they can do

Be clear-eyed about this before you invite someone: a co-organizer can do everything you can do on that event. There is no reduced permission level.

That includes:

• Launching the event, and paying for it
• Pausing and resuming shooting
• Granting refills, to one guest or to everyone
• Uploading and changing the watermark, stickers and welcome image
• Approving or rejecting anything in the Review tab
• Deleting photos, which deletes them from your Drive too
• Ending the event

So invite the person who is running the event with you, not someone who just wants to watch. If all somebody needs is to see the photos, share the Drive folder instead: that is read-only unless you say otherwise, and it does not hand over the event.

What stays yours

• The photos land in your Drive, not theirs. You own the folder and the files. A co-organizer works on your event; they do not get a copy of it.
• Except when you make them the backup. On big events you can nominate a co-organizer's Drive as the backup for video clips at setup. Clips then save to their Drive, photos still save to yours, and clips already saved there stay put even if you remove them later.
• The event is not theirs. It does not appear as their own event, and removing them ends their access immediately.

Removing someone

Remove them from the Settings tab. Access stops at once. Anything they already did stays done, including photos they deleted, which is another reason to invite deliberately.
