Papped Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Papped, the service at papped.co that lets event organizers collect photos from guests, screened and delivered to the organizer's own Google Drive. By creating an event, joining one as a guest, or otherwise using Papped, you agree to these terms.
1. What Papped is
Papped gives an event a QR code. Guests scan it and take photos in their browser; each photo is automatically screened and delivered to the organizer's Google Drive, and appears in a shared gallery guests can view and download during the event and for 30 days after it ends. Photos pass through Papped; apart from a short review hold (maximum 48 hours), we do not store them. Our Privacy Policy explains the data side: https://papped.co/privacy.
2. Accounts and roles
- Organizers sign in with Google and connect a Google Drive. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure.
- Co-organizers are invited by an organizer and get management access to that organizer's event. Anything requiring payment stays with the organizer who owns the event.
- Guests do not create accounts. Guests use Papped under these terms by joining an event link.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live to be an organizer.
3. Your photos stay yours
- Guests own the photos they take. Organizers own and control the photos once delivered to their Drive.
- You grant Papped a limited license to receive, screen, hold for review where flagged, and deliver photos (including any sticker, frame, or watermark a guest applied on their device before upload), and to serve gallery views from the organizer's Drive. That license exists solely to run the service and ends when the processing does. We claim no other rights to your photos.
- Papped itself (the software, brand, and design) belongs to us. We grant organizers and guests a limited, non-transferable right to use it for its intended purpose.
4. Responsibility for content
- The person who uploads a photo is responsible for it. By uploading, a guest confirms they have the right to share it and that it does not violate section 5.
- Organizers are responsible for their event: telling attendees that photos taken through Papped are shared with the organizer and visible in the event gallery, and complying with any consent or notice rules that apply to photographing people at their event and in their jurisdiction.
- Papped screens uploads automatically and gives organizers review and delete controls, but we do not pre-approve content and are not its publisher.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Papped to upload or share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, depicts minors inappropriately, harasses or threatens anyone, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware. Do not probe, overload, scrape, or interfere with the service, resell it, or use it to spam. We may remove content, suspend an event, or terminate an account that breaks these rules, and we may notify authorities where the law requires it.
6. Screening and review
- Uploads are screened automatically. Clearly violating photos are rejected. Borderline photos are held, encrypted, for the organizer to approve or reject; unreviewed holds are deleted after 48 hours.
- Guests can report a photo in the gallery; reported photos are hidden immediately pending the organizer's review.
- The organizer is the final judge of what belongs at their event. Screening is a safety net, not a guarantee: no automated system catches everything, and we are not liable for content that gets through before it is removed.
7. Payments, pool, and refunds
During the beta, some events may run free of charge; the pricing below applies once paid checkout is enabled.
- Pricing is per event and shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record: they charge your card, issue the invoice, and handle payment-related taxes. We never see your card details.
- What you buy is capacity: an event's photo pool is the maximum number of photos your guests can develop, not a count you are promised to consume. An event that uses less than its pool has still received the service.
- No automated refunds. If something went genuinely wrong with your event, email [email protected] and a human will look at it. Exceptions are at our discretion and this does not limit any rights consumer law gives you that cannot be waived.
- Top-ups (adding photos to a live event) are charged the same way and follow the same rules.
8. Google Drive
Delivery depends on your Google Drive connection. We use Google's drive.file scope, so Papped can only create and manage its own event folders in your Drive. If you disconnect Drive, revoke access, or your Google account becomes unavailable, delivery stops until it is reconnected; photos already delivered are unaffected because they live in your Drive, not with us. Your use of Google Drive is governed by Google's own terms.
9. Availability and beta
Papped is a young product. We aim for it to work flawlessly during your event, but we provide the service "as is" and do not promise uninterrupted availability, and features may change. If we ever discontinue Papped, photos already delivered stay in your Drive.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content guests upload; and our total liability for anything arising out of the service is capped at the amount you paid us for the event concerned, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Ending things
- Organizers can cancel an unlaunched event (its data is removed immediately) or end a running event at any time; ended events are purged on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.
- We can suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Sections that by nature survive (content responsibility, liability, payments) survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will update the date above and flag meaningful changes to organizers by email. Continuing to use Papped after a change means you accept it.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes belong to the courts of Bengaluru, India.
